Blackbird follows Frankie Morelli as she drives a custom 1971 Pontiac Firebird from Atlanta to California after a death forces her to revisit the memories that shaped her. Alternating between the open road and memories from childhood through adulthood, the novel explores identity, family, and the stories we inherit about the people we love.

Originally conceived as a screenplay, Blackbird is now being developed as a novel.
