Blackbird

A novel-in-progress.

Blackbird explores memory, motion, and reconciliation through the interior life of a woman traveling across the southern United States in a custom 1971 Firebird. The novel moves between present-day transit and layered recollection, using mechanical language and spatial shifts to trace emotional restraint, recognition, and return.

The project originated as a screenplay and is currently being adapted into a novel. The work favors implication over exposition, allowing structure, image, and pacing to carry emotional weight rather than explicit narration.
